PowerCube DaaS

ZSL is now offering PowerCube DaaS (Desktop as a Service) enabled Desktop Computing services, powered by IBM Client for Smart Work (ICSW) in partnership with IBM and Canonical Ubuntu Desktops, to address the collaboration needs of the enterprises. PowerCube DaaS is a Virtual Desktop Collaborative solution, which made up to the Finalist for CTO award at IBM Lotusphere 2009. ZSL's PowerCube DaaS services are focused around the IBM Lotus Open Collaboration Client Solution (OCCS) for Ubuntu desktops and the open virtual client extensions based on VERDE from Virtual Bridges. IBM Lotus OCCS, that includes Lotus Notes/iNotes/LotusLive and Lotus Symphony along with a variety of optional collaboration software components, help people work smarter together. It is a security rich and cost effective desktop alternative based on Lotus Expeditor which is build on Eclipse open source software. We support a variety of Client devices that range from standard laptop/desktops to netbooks and mobile devices. ZSL "PowerCube" solution includes packaged services for migrating to the IBM Client for Smart Work, from user segmentation, TCO analysis, BPM based role identification and SOA, to application migration, pilot and production deployment. The DaaS capabilities provide customers with the option of using virtual desktops based on VERDE from Virtual Bridges on a private cloud managed by ZSL or on customer premise. ZSL's Desktop Computing services span transform-run cycle. Jumpstart services include End User assessment and segmentation, proof of concepts and pilots. It is based on the Liberate-Migrate-Virtualize Smarter Collaboration cost reduction strategy from IBM. ZSL's PowerCube solutions meet the customer demands of:
